Absolutely a great place for food and views. The Service from the time you open the door, the wait crew to wonderful waiter (Cody) Did i mention the view.,breathtaking!

Nestled by the falls, 17 River offers a dining experience that's both picturesque and delicious. The moment we arrived, it was clear this place is a local favorite--the entire restaurant was buzzing with energy, every table occupied. Despite the crowd, we were seated promptly and, to our delight, scored a table outside with a breathtaking view of the falls. To kick off our meal, I opted for an Aperol Spritz. It was perfectly refreshing, with just the right balance of bitter and sweet--a great start to what would be a memorable dining experience. For appetizers, we indulged in the cheddar biscuits and deviled eggs with bacon. The cheddar biscuits were a true highlight, with a sweet butter topping that melted in your mouth, complementing the rich cheddar flavor beautifully. Each bite was heaven. The deviled eggs were also a treat, the bacon adding a satisfying crunch that elevated the dish. For the main course, I decided on the Parmesan-crusted chicken, which was nothing short of amazing. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a crispy, flavorful crust. The sauce was rich and buttery, pairing wonderfully with the slight bitterness of the vinegar-dressed arugula. It was a dish I'd return for. My boyfriend ordered the filet mignon, and it was also cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. He loved it. While the mashed potatoes didn't win me over, he enjoyed them. The broccoli, on the other hand, was a standout--crunchy yet buttery, cooked just right. By the time we finished, we were absolutely stuffed, but thoroughly satisfied. The ambiance at 17 River is a blend of casual elegance, with the natural beauty of the falls enhancing the entire experience. Whether you're there for a special occasion or just a nice evening out, this restaurant is a gem. Highly recommend!

Walleye and trout were awesome!!! Highly recommend either of those options. Nashville hot on the other hand was not a typical flavor and not to my liking but was to my husband. It's dry peppery instead of saucy or buffalo spicy. Chicken is good although quite a bit of batter too. And lastly that bun is bad. Looks good, tastes bad. Also our service was not great this time around but it was a good table and the fish really made up for it.

Beautiful place, excellent service, and food was amazing! My sister moved to Ohio a few months ago and we visited her for her bday this past week. She picked me up from the airport and went here for lunch. I heard that this place gets busy especially during the weekend and lucky for me, we came on a Wednesday afternoon. We were sat by the window with the perfect view of the falls. So glad my sister lives in Ohio because this place is a gem and I'll be able to come back here every time I'm in town.

This was my first time coming here and I was not sure what to think, My friend Chad was texting me and said Beth get the Lemon Chicken it is amazing. The place is very inviting our waitress was attentive and very cool, her vibe had me at hello. I ordered a Cucumber Lavender drink that was as refreshing as a cool breeze on a hot day. I ordered the Lemon Chicken. It was beyond fabulous. The chicken pieces were plentiful and came with a small salad that had a dressing that complimented the chicken. There were many things on the lunch menu but after trying the chicken I know I am hooked. I took a huge piece home and it heated up beautifully. I am a little piggy and have no trouble finishing my meal but this portion was absolutely way to much to finish. I watched the staff delivering many beautiful dishes to other tables. The visual of a good meal counts for me and when it tastes even better than it looks I am in heaven. We sat inside it was a Lovely Thursday July 31st at 3pm. The view of the falls from an indoor window seat was lovely, The temperature of the dining room was very comfortable. The dining room was sparkly clean. This place is a must try. I did see someone nibbling on deviled eggs and thick crispy bacon. It looked yummy. They have an amazing bar with a gazillion options. I can't wait to go back. Chad and I are planning for December he said it is so beautiful then. I loved it so much I am thinking monthly. Well worth the 75 minute drive.

Great spot along the Chagrin River falls with a great beautiful aesthetic. We ordered appetizers and drinks, highly recommend the Heavenly Biscuits which were jammed back with flavor and were perfectly savory. Order them early because they do run out! We also ordered the No Ordinary Caesar which was tasty but was very much an ordinary Caesar salad along with the crab cakes which were good but didn't have a wow factor for the price. I really enjoyed the Brewster and Stroud cocktail which was light and refreshing, perfect for a summer evening. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.

It was kind of funny, we went to chagrin Falls for a street performer day, I don't really know what it was classified as, festival? We are getting ready to leave. We picked up a couple scents and followed them to try to find good food. From across the river, we had spotted 17 river Grill and I had mentioned going there earlier or at least at some point, maybe not that day but another day. We ended up going in it while we did not ship on the river we sat at the bar and, Bonnie enjoyed a couple sangrias while we got sushi and asparagus. The food was very good, the service was fantastic, the camaraderie amongst the bartenders and waitresses was pleasant to see. Our bartender had made the sangria and it was quite good. Restaurant is very clean, Very comfortable, and very well lit. I'd be interested in seeing it at night, especially if sitting along the river. I would definitely like to go again the next time I'm in Chagrin Falls.

Had a great dining experience at 17 river grille. Our server was Santiago and he was very attentive to our group of 8, and I think our service was one of the best parts of the night. The sushi appetizers were all very fresh and perfect to split amongst the table. The star of the appetizers though was the heavenly biscuits. Truly so amazing!! The French onion id rate 4/5 stars due to the broth being slightly sour, but still really well put together. Sadly it was a cold day so couldn't sit on the patio but the scenery around the restaurant is beautiful. Definitely recommend short rib as your meal!
